Presyo ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website presyo.net (the "Service"), a free price comparison and buying guide platform for consumers in the Philippines. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.

1.1 Account Information

When you choose to sign in using Firebase Authentication (via Google or Facebook), we collect your email address and display name as provided by your identity provider. Account creation is entirely optional; you may browse all public content without signing in.

1.2 Usage Data and Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our Service. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, referring URLs, device type, and browser. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you unless you are signed in.

Firebase Authentication also sets cookies to maintain your login session.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect payment information, government-issued IDs, phone numbers, physical addresses, or any sensitive personal information as defined under the Data Privacy Act. Our price data is gathered from publicly available sources and does not involve the collection of any third-party personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal information based on your consent and for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. Specifically:

• Service delivery — to enable features such as Favorites, Price Alerts, and saved comparison lists
• Communication — to send price drop notifications you have opted into
• Analytics and improvement — to understand usage patterns and improve the Service
• Security — to detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Service uses the following cookies:

• Google Analytics 4 — performance and usage analytics (first-party cookies set by Google)
• Firebase Authentication — session management for signed-in users

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account information is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) and our internal database. We implement reasonable organizational, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers — Google (Firebase, Analytics) processes data on our behalf under their privacy policies
• Legal obligations — when required by law, court order, or a lawful request from the National Privacy Commission or other competent authority

Affiliate links: Our Service contains affiliate links to third-party retailers such as Lazada and Shopee (via Involve Asia). When you click these links, you are redirected to the retailer's website, which is governed by that retailer's own privacy policy. We do not share your personal information with these retailers.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required for legal compliance.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under thirteen (13) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we will promptly delete it.
